Project Description:
The project aims to develop and deploy an integrated system that leverages advanced data intelligence and a cloud-based green twin system for environmental monitoring, management, and mitigation, promoting sustainability. Key focus areas include real-time pollution monitoring, carbon asset tracking, water quality assessment, biodiversity evaluation, and marine activity observation.
To achieve these goals, various sensors will be augmented on marine vehicles to collect data and share it with the cloud-based green twin system. This real-time data transfer platform, coupled with data analytics techniques, will provide essential insights for decision-makers. The collected data will be transmitted via IoT satellites. The proposed platform will enable comprehensive data collection, processed and analyzed using advanced data fusion techniques and machine learning algorithms. This will create a real-time, detailed picture of the marine environment. Cloud-based data management will ensure secure storage, efficient processing, and accessibility for relevant stakeholders.
Role of possible partner(s) in theproject:
-SMEs & Larger Companies: Develop and provide sensor technology, autonomous marine platforms, and IoT integration. Assist in commercialization and market deployment of the platform.
-Universities & Research Institutions: Conduct marine ecosystem modeling and validate collected environmental data. Develop data fusion algorithms and improve the accuracy of AI-driven analytics. Perform case studies and real-world testing in maritime environments.
-Government Administrations & Regulatory Bodies: Ensure compliance with IMO, EU Green Deal, and national environmental regulations. Provide funding and policy support for sustainable maritime initiatives. Facilitate access to governmental data for calibration and validation.
– Maritime Organizations & NGOs: Promote adoption of the Green Twin Platform in global marine sustainability efforts. Support awareness campaigns and stakeholder engagement. Aid in pilot deployment and long-term impact assessment.
